For the third year in a row Mike Trout was selected by his teammates as the team MVP. He was presented with the award along with his roommate, Garret Richards, who won the Pitcher of the Year. Trout responded in the game following the presentation by hitting his 35th home run of the year which is the most by any Angel since Vlad Guerrero hit 39 in 2004. With a week in the season we’ll see if the baseball writers will make Trout the American League MVP.
