2014 Mike Trout Bobblehead

On April 1, 2014 the Angels gave away their second Mike Trout Bobblehead promotional item.  This year’s bobblehead celebrates Mike Trout’s accomplishment as the youngest player in the American League to hit for the cycle (a single, double, triple and home run) in one game.  Trout accomplished this feat on May 21, 2013. Hall of Famer Mel Ott of the New York Giants is the youngest major league player to hit for the cycle. He was only 20 years old and his record has stood since 1929. Mike Trout was 21 when he hit his cycle.

I prefer the 2013 version. It’s an unique and active pose celebrating Mike Trout as the 2012 Rookie of the Year. The pose comes from Trout’s iconic home run robbing catch against JJ Hardy of the Baltimore Orioles.

Both the 2014 Bobblehead and the 2013 Bobblehead are on sale at eBay.  They range in price from $20-$90.
