News came out today that an MRI reveals that Mike Trout only has inflammation in his upper back and no damage. This is good news to hear. He’ll be day to day until he’s feeling better (we’re all day to day). He’s missed the better part of 3 games and will miss tonight’s game as well. Statistically Trout has a had a good year but his numbers are not what we have come to expect from him. His strikeouts are up and his stolen bases are down.

Could a stiff upper back be the cause? People have poured over the data and maybe the reasons are simple, he just doesn’t feel good. Here’s to hoping some rest and treatment will help him out.
