The match up every baseball fan was looking forward to in the LA Freeway Series was seeing arguably the best pitcher, Clayton Kershaw, face arguably the best position player, Mike Trout. Before the game Bob Costas sat the two All-Stars down together for an interview.

As the game unfolded Trout was able to get an infield single, a double and a run off of Kershaw before Kershaw was able to strike Trout out. The Dodgers ended up winning the game but not before the Angels touched up Kershaw for 3 runs and a 7th inning exit (something few teams can boast about).
