Standing Ovation in Philadelphia

The fans in Philadelphia are known to be a tough crowd. They’ve booed Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny and even Mike Schmidt. The only time they seemed to have ever cheered for an opposing player is when Michael Irvin suffered a career-ending injury. So it was surprising and heart warming to see them give Mike Trout such a warm reception.

Hopefully this isn’t a preemptive attempt to get him to come “home” when his contract expires.
