On Wednesday night, against the Colorado Rockies, Mike Trout made not one, but two plays of the game. First in the 10th inning he robbed Troy Tulowitzki of a home run. Then in the 11th inning he made a tremendous catch in center field with a perfect throw to home plate to get an inning ending double play. The play was at first called safe but was overturned on replay. Both plays preserved the Angels tie and allowed them to eventually win the game.
To top it all off, Trout scored his 400th career run in to tie the game.
Cowgill on Trout: "To field it low, set your feet and throw and absolute strike on the fly to home, there’s not many guys who can do that."
